Severity in these tables is graded by interference with activity, not by how unpleasant the experience was. Those are different measurements.
A purity figure is silent on peptide content, on water, on counter-ion, on sterility, on endotoxin and on stability. Each of those silences has a price attached.
The published ladder exists because a protocol needed a single number. Practice has never followed it exactly, and the regulatory file never assumed it would.
A document is only as good as the chain that connects it to the material, and most chains here are two or three links longer than the paperwork admits.
Pancreatitis is rare, was adjudicated in the outcome programmes, and did not show the imbalance early case reports suggested.
Reducing a dose is not going backwards. In a tolerability-limited class it is the mechanism by which the ceiling is found.
We set out the parameters a method disclosure would contain, all of which are known to whoever ran the sample and none of which is commercially sensitive.
Where the curve flattens, what flattens with it, and what does not.
An intact mass measurement establishes elemental composition, at best. The number of distinct sequences consistent with a given composition is astronomically large.
Matching a retention time against a standard is evidence of consistency, not proof of identity. Two different species can elute at the same time on one method.
This is the single interaction with ordinary medical care that patients most need to disclose, and it is the one most often not asked about.
Trial discontinuation figures are a floor, not an estimate: trial populations are supported in ways ordinary patients are not.
The Journal’s standing position: a mass that matches is necessary evidence of identity and nowhere near sufficient.
Repeated injection into the same small area produces lipohypertrophy — thickened, rubbery subcutaneous tissue with blunted and erratic absorption. It is common, it is…
The receptor is expressed in more tissues than the popular account allows, and that is the whole story.
What the trials measured was continuation against withdrawal. What patients want to know is continuation at a lower dose, and that study has largely not been done.
A document is only as good as the chain that connects it to the material, and most chains here are two or three links longer than the paperwork admits.
One omitted dose is a labelling question. Four omitted doses is a clinical one. The two are routinely conflated.
Baseline placement under a tailing peak is a judgement call with a direct effect on the area. It is one of the few places where two competent analysts genuinely disagree.
