The online reseller trading as Adamant Research Supply enters a consent decree and stops sterile preparation
The observation that closes a facility is rarely the dramatic one.
TheCompound Journal
Reporting on incretins, compounding & the peptide supply chain
Our standards editor keeps a list of the four figures that travel wrongest in this field — numbers attached to the wrong trial, quoted from the wrong estimand, or invented outright and then cited by somebody who found them in good faith. The list has not changed in eighteen months. That is the most depressing sentence in this letter and the best argument for the department that produces it.
In this number, 60 pieces across 8 departments, with 110 further dispatches filed from the newsroom and 29 contributors on the page. We lead with Yuki Morishita on Dietary measures are widely recommended, plausible on mechanism, and supported mainly by observational data and clinical experience and set beside it Delphine Ruzek in Explainers. Part 12 of The Purity Question continues on the inside pages.
Our analytics department has a standing rule that irritates people, and it is right to. A purity figure without a gradient, a wavelength and an integration threshold cannot be compared with any other purity figure, and reporting it as though it can is not neutrality — it is passing on a claim while pretending to have checked it. We would rather print "method not stated" than a number we cannot situate.
Next month: the continuation of two investigations that have each taken longer than planned, for the usual reason — the documents took longer to obtain than the writing took to do.
